is a unique international charitable society founded in post war Britain in 1956 with one house providing care and shelter

for the elderly.  Since that time, it has grown to more than 1000 houses in 13 countries and still insures that older people's

lives are both easier and more fulfilling.  Abbeyfield has a solid record of success due in no small part to its more than

10,000 dedicated volunteers worldwide, and a caring well trained staff at each residence.  Plans are now underway to

build a new 40 unit residence in Owen Sound, in the municipality of Grey Bruce.  This website is dedicated to keeping you

updated on our progress as we push forward with our plans for the future.
